New restroom enclosures

Cottonwood Creek Park has been updated with new port-o-let restroom enclosures. The port-o-let enclosure structure was designed, constructed, and installed by the Parks Construction team as part of a renovation project at Cottonwood Creek Park. The existing restroom facility was out dated and not meeting the needs of this large community park. An opportunity was identified to replace the single stall restroom facility with multiple port-o-lets to better accommodate the large volume of park users during sporting events. The new enclosures accommodate five standard port-o-let units and one ADA unit, which tripled the restroom capacity in the park. The enclosures were strategically placed on both the east and west ends of the sports fields to provide quicker access to facilities at both ends of the park. These enclosures provide a modern and aesthetically pleasing addition, while still providing a high level of functionality for Parks staff to maintain and patrons to utilize. Three bike racks and a new park map were also added to the port-o-let enclosure pads. This great addition was made possible through a collaboration between the Parks Department and Colorado Springs Utilities.
