The project will involve extensive coordination between several entities.  The first phase of the project will be managed by CSU and will replace a water main that is located underneath 21st Street between Colorado Avenue and Highway 24.  Road and bridge improvements make up the second phase of the project which will be managed by City Engineering.  By completing these phases in conjunction, the impact on multi-modal transportation and the residents and businesses in the area will be minimized.

Colorado Springs Utilities Construction activities are expected to begin mid-April and continue through early July.  The City will start work in mid-July on the road and bridge.  Work hours will typically be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and may include night and weekend work.  All construction work is scheduled to be completed by October.
