Colorado Springs Utilities and the City of Colorado Springs are partnering to perform construction work on 21st Street.
Utilities will begin by replacing a water main under 21st Street between Colorado Avenue to Highway 24. After this, the City will install/replace curb, gutter and sidewalk along 21st Street between Colorado Ave and Hwy 24. Maintenance will be performed on the 21st Street Bridge over Fountain Creek to extend its service life. Finally, 21st Street will be resurfaced with a new layer of asphalt.
Colorado Springs Utilities Construction activities are expected to begin mid-April and continue through June. Work hours will typically be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and may include night and weekend work.
