COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – In the interest of safety of staff and reducing road congestion, all City of Colorado Springs government offices as well as the Pioneers Museum will close Wednesday, April 10, at 2 p.m. due to inclement weather. The closure applies to non-essential personnel. All emergency responders and essential personnel are required to work normal schedules.

Sertich Ice Center and all of the City’s Community Centers have cancelled Wednesday evening programs and are requesting early pickup for all children scheduled in afterschool programs. All youth and adult sports programs and games are also cancelled Wednesday.

No park closures are in effect at this time.

The City encourages people to stay off the roads, if possible, as conditions are expected to deteriorate with blizzard conditions expected north of Woodmen Road. High winds and blowing snow could cause visibility problems in several areas.
