The City of Colorado Springs will operate on a normal schedule today.

We recognize that road conditions may vary citywide and encourage all employees to use their own judgment in determining when to report.

Any employees that have safety concerns or questions are advised to communicate with their immediate supervisor. Supervisors are encouraged to use flexibility with scheduling based on safety concerns.

Please use caution on the roadways and allow city plows space to work.

There have already been more than a dozen reports of downed trees. To report downed trees in roadways, call 719-385-ROAD. If a tree is compromised or touching a power line, stay away from it and report immediately to Colorado Springs Utilities at 719-448-4800.

Crews are now plowing primary and secondary routes, which are multi-lane roads with large volumes of traffic or hospital access. For information about City snow routes visit www.ColoradoSprings.gov/snow. Early morning crews will focus plowing efforts on primary, secondary and school routes.
