Road closures, impacts to bus services in effect Saturday for Woman’s March

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Several road closures and traffic impacts will occur on Saturday, Jan. 19 due to the 2019 Colorado Springs Woman’s March. The march will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday and will begin at City Hall (107 N. Nevada Ave.) and proceed to All Souls Unitarian Church (730 N. Tejon St.). The following road closures and impacts will be in place due to the march:

1-3 p.m.

  • Closed: Nevada Avenue, from Kiowa Street to Bijou Street

2:30-3:30pm

  • Colorado Springs Police Department will provide rolling closures during the march along Kiowa Street between Nevada Avenue and Tejon Street, as well as along Tejon Street from Kiowa Street to Dale Street.

Due to multiple street closures, Mountain Metro Transit’s downtown terminal will be inaccessible during the march. Southbound N. Weber Street, north of E. Kiowa St. will be the alternate staging area for all downtown bus pullouts between 1-4 p.m. Several routes will be impacted:

Detoured routes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9 & 19, 10 & 11

Missed stop route: 5 Inbound: #2349 (Wahsatch Avenue & E. Kiowa Street)
