COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo -- Colorado Springs City Council wants to hear from the public about the proposed Creekside Camping Ordinance during a Town Hall on Thursday, June 14, from 6-7:30 p.m. in City Hall.
The proposed ordinance would restrict camping within 100 feet of a public stream, also known as a public stream riparian zone, to address public health and public safety concerns.
The Town Hall will begin with a brief presentation by Richard Mulledy, Water Resources Engineering Division and Stormwater Enterprise Manager. After the City’s presentation the discussion will open to public comment during which people can give feedback to City Council.
The Creekside Camping Ordinance will come before City Council for a first vote at the June 26 Regular Meeting.
For further information please see the proposed ordinance attached to this release. The Town Hall will be broadcast on SpringsTV, channel 18 and Facebook Live via the Colorado Springs City Council page.
