Content

Colorado Springs, CO- The City of Colorado Springs Community Development Division is pleased to announce that the application process for 2018 grant funds is now open. The Division is seeking applications for two programs: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Services and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG).

The primary purpose of CDBG Public Service funds is to serve low- and moderate-income residents who reside within the city limits of Colorado Springs. The Community Development Division is seeking to fund programs that specifically meet the goals of the Pikes Peak Continuum of Care Strategic Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness and programs that reduce barriers to housing.

The ESG funds assist individuals and families experiencing homelessness in regaining stable housing. The Division is prioritizing Rapid Re-housing and Homeless Prevention programs.

All applications are due no later than 4:00 p.m. on November 17, 2017 at the Community Development Division office at 30 S. Nevada Avenue, Suite 604, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Staff will hold two public workshops to discuss the 2018 CDBG and ESG applications on:

October 23, 2017
9 -11 a.m.
City Administration Bldg, Ste. 102
30 S. Nevada Avenue, 80903

October 24, 2017
4-6 p.m.
Penrose Library, Aspen Room
20 N. Cascade Ave., 80903

These workshops will cover important information on the types of eligible projects along with rules and regulations governing both ESG and CDBG programs. Attendance at one of these sessions is required for all applicants. Attendance by at least one representative from each applicant organization will help project eligibility and ensure critical technical assistance about the 2018 ESG and CDBG applications and programs before an agency invests the time and resources necessary to apply.

Applicants may apply for both CDBG and ESG, but a separate application must be submitted for each. Applicants of both grants need only attend one workshop. For more information about the application process or workshop, please contact:
