Imagine crossing the Bijou Street Bridge many years ago like in this photo from the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum. Although some things have changed, the view of Pikes Peak is still breathtaking. Bijou Street is the main downtown exit off Interstate 25.

As part of the Colorado Springs Sesquicentennial celebration, photographer Mike Pach recreated historic images from the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum, the Pikes Peak Library District collections and other archives. Fifty of those photographs along with Mike’s own modern interpretations will be on display from July 8th until August 31st.

The opening reception will take place on July 8. 2021 and give the community the opportunity to:

  • View 50 pairs of "then and now" photos
  • Watch the debut of Jamey Hasting's documentary film about the creation of this project
  • See the premiere of the "Your Colorado Home" music video by Marcelle
  • Preview Mike's book Colorado Springs Then and Now

Mike Pach is an award-winning, internationally recognized photographer and speaker known for his 365-day project “Same Tree, Different Day.” He founded and leads the Colorado Photography Learning Group.
