COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Colorado Springs Airport Taxiway G and Terminal Connectors Phase II Rehabilitation Project was honored at the CO/WY Chapter of the American Concrete Pavement Association’s (ACPA) Excellence in Concrete Paving Awards last week.

“The project was a success due to the diligent collaboration among the Airport, RS&H and Flatiron as well as many subconsultants and subcontractors,” said Steven Gaeta, Colorado Springs Airport Construction Manager.

The project, which received an award in the Commercial Service Airports category, included a full depth removal and replacement of the pavement section and new pavement markings, edge drains, edge lights and guidance signs.

RS&H served as the designer and engineer for the project, while Flatiron Construction was the contractor.

The ACPA Annual Awards for Excellence in Concrete Pavement are designed to honor quality concrete pavements constructed each year. The awards program recognizes contractors, engineers, and project owners who completed outstanding projects.
