Flights Resume with Some Morning Delays and Cancellations

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Colorado Springs Airport is open and the airfield is operational after widespread winter weather conditions throughout Colorado, cancelling 47 COS flights on March 13.

All essential airport staff conducted continuous shifts throughout the night to ensure the safety and operations of the airport.

Due to yesterday’s high level of flight cancellations throughout the region and current weather conditions, additional morning delays and cancellations persist with the first commercial flight scheduled to depart at 10:56am.

As of 8:30am, COS currently reports 32 flights are scheduled to be on-time, with 4 delays, and 21 cancellations*
