The Colorado Springs Airport (COS) announced that Southwest Airlines will begin nonstop daily service to Long Beach (LGB) effective July 11, 2023. The daily service to LGB is now available for booking on Southwest.com.

“Southwest Airlines has been tremendously supportive of the Colorado Springs community both as one of our key carriers and as a community partner since they began service,” said Greg Phillips, Director of Aviation for COS. “We’re looking forward to both our partnership and service at COS growing.”

With service beginning this summer, the Colorado Springs community will have easy access to the West coast and allow visitors from California to experience all Colorado Springs has to offer.

“This new daily service to Long Beach is the flight we desperately need for business and vacation travel,” said Doug Price, President, and CEO of Visit Colorado Springs. “The L.A. market is huge for Colorado Springs. One more big reason to fly out of Colorado’s small airport.”

Colorado Springs Airport’s small size means small commutes, small lines, and small waits. It means friendliness, safety, and comfort. It also means big options on daily nonstop flights and hundreds of connections worldwide. Colorado’s small airport was named one of the Best Workplaces for 2021 by the Gazette.
