About Airport Lost and Found
Every year, the CSPD Airport Unit receives and processes hundreds of items that were lost in the Colorado Springs Airport. Although many items are quickly returned to their owners, some items go unclaimed and are sent to the Colorado Springs Police Dept. (CSPD) Evidence Unit.

Items Lost in the Airport
Property that is found in the airport terminal or in the parking lots may be turned into our office located at the airport. Items turned into the CSPD Airport Unit Office are held for 7-10 days, after which the items are taken to the CSPD Evidence Unit located at 705 S. Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Once an item is transferred to the evidence unit you will need to call (719) 444-7744 for an appointment to pick up the item/s. Items Lost During a Flight
Personal items lost while in flight are collected and held for claim by the respective airline. Lost luggage is also held for claim by airline companies. Contact your airline for more information.
Items Missing From Luggage
If items are missing from your checked luggage and your bags were searched by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), you may contact TSA to learn about the claim process. Call TSA at (866) 289-9673 or visit their website for more information.
COS TSA Lost and Found Property
If more than a week, fill out and submit the form located on www.tsa.gov under Lost & Found. If lost within the week, check with the COS TSA Security Checkpoint. Please Note, TSA is only required to hold items for 30 days and only hold items left at the TSA Security Checkpoint. No local phone number to call.
