Mountain Metro Proposed Service Changes for Fall 2019 Public Meeting Schedule

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) has scheduled three public meetings to inform the public of the proposed service changes for fall 2019, effective September 29, and to obtain public input prior to a final decision.

Attendance at public meetings is not required to comment. You may also fax your comments to 719-385-5419 or email to transitinfo@springsgov.com. Comments will be accepted through July 12, 2019. In accordance with the ADA, anyone requiring an auxiliary aid to participate in these meetings should make the request as soon as possible but no later than two business days (Monday through Friday) before the scheduled event.  Citizens who are deaf may also use 711 to arrange for an accommodation.

Service Enhancements

Saturday Evening Service: Add Saturday evening service to the same routes that operate weekday-evening service: Routes 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 19, 22, 23, 25, 27, and 39.

Sunday Frequency Improvements: Increase Sunday frequency on Routes 1, 3, 5, 25, and 27 from 60-minutes to 30-minutes. These five routes are Mountain Metro's top performers

Mountain Metropolitan Transit provides local fixed-route bus service and Metro Mobility ADA paratransit service for Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region. All buses are wheelchair-lift equipped. Mountain Metropolitan Transit also provides other services such as Metro Rides’ ridesharing, vanpool, and bicycling programs. For added convenience, there are bike racks on all buses for riders who want to utilize the bike-n-bus program.
