Beginning Sunday, September 29, Mountain Metro will add Saturday evening service, until approximately 9:30 p.m., to 13 routes and increase Sunday service with buses running every 30 minutes instead of every 60 minutes on five routes:

  • Additional Saturday evening service on Routes 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 19, 22, 23, 25, 27, and 39.
  • Sunday frequency from 60 minutes to 30 minutes on Routes 1, 3, 5, 25, and 27.

These transit enhancements improve existing customers’ experience and attract new riders. Funding for the fall 2019 improvements includes approximately $1 million in additional 2019 Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority (PPRTA) sales tax revenue as well as fare and advertising revenues.

Mountain Metropolitan Transit provides local fixed-route bus service and Metro Mobility ADA paratransit service for Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region. All buses are wheelchair-lift equipped. Mountain Metropolitan Transit also provides other services such as Metro Rides’ ridesharing, vanpool, and bicycling programs. For added convenience, there are bike racks on all buses for riders who want to utilize the bike-n-bus program.
