Coming off a record-breaking 2024, the Colorado Springs Airport (COS) has experienced a slowdown in passenger air travel with a 0.5 percent increase in total passengers when compared to January 2024. The average load factor for the month was 67.6 percent, 2.7 percent down in comparison to the previous year with 3.1 percent less seats. Historically, January and February are typically slower months for air travel and this downturn is being seen across the industry potentially due to a softening market.
