Mayor John Suthers seeks applicants to fill seven board seats on the newly-created Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC).
The committee will advise on priority funding areas for the Community Development Division's Annual Action Plan, which lays out the use for federal block grant funds received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. High priority funding areas typically include homeless facilities and services, affordable housing, and neighborhood/community investments in areas such as Southeast Colorado Springs or the Mill Street neighborhood.
The Mayor is looking for broad representation from across the city and volunteers with subject matter expertise on a range of topics, including mental/behavioral health, addiction, housing finance, marginalized and/or underserved populations. There will be opportunities to learn as well as opportunities to help inform the upcoming 2024 Action Plan and 2025-30 Consolidated Plan.
The committee meets 6-8 times annually. Dates and times to be determined.
Please submit applications no later than 5 p.m., Friday, March 31 at https://coloradosprings.gov/cdac
