Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) will implement new service enhancements beginning Sunday, October 1, 2023.  These enhancements include:

NEW - Route 20: MMT will operate a new route along South Nevada Avenue, between the Downtown Terminal and Southgate Road on Saturdays and Sundays. This route will depart from the Downtown Terminal at the top and the middle of the hour. This will provide 15-minute service along the Nevada Corridor between the Terminal and Southgate Road and is expected to improve on-time performance for Routes 10 and 11.

Route 23 & 24: MMT will relocate the turnaround location for Routes 23 and 24 to the newly completed roundabout at Tutt Boulevard and South Carefree Circle. This new stop is expected to improve on-time performance.

Route 34: MMT will add two (2) bus stops (an inbound and an outbound bus stop) to Route 34 under the overpass at Union Boulevard and Austin Bluffs Parkway. Route 34 will navigate this intersection via signal prioritization. These bus stops will provide better access to the VA Clinic located southwest of Union Boulevard and Austin Bluffs Parkway.

Route 37: MMT initially proposed to improve on-time performance on Route 37 by removing the Integration Loop service on each inbound trip (Colorado Springs Airport to Hancock Plaza). After receiving feedback from the Colorado Springs Airport and Amazon, MMT has modified the proposal. Route 37 will provide service on Integration Loop for all outbound trips from the beginning of its service until 2:00 pm on weekdays and 12:00 pm on weekends and then provide service on Integration Loop for all inbound trips from 2:00 pm on weekdays and 12:00 pm on weekends until the end of service.

Reminder for Route 33 & 36: MMT will make its standard seasonal service adjustments to Route 33 and Route 36 in Manitou Springs. This includes reducing Route 33 to 20-minute frequency on Saturdays and Sundays and the suspension of service on Route 36.

Implementation: Sunday, October 1, 2023
