Cyclists wanting to experience the breathtaking beauty of America’s Mountain like never before have four opportunities during the upcoming “Pedal Pikes Peak” dates.

On Oct. 5, 6, 12, and 13, cyclists have the unique opportunity to access the Pikes Peak Highway before vehicle traffic begins. The highway opens for cyclists at 7 a.m., allowing riders to enjoy a peaceful ride without vehicle traffic until 9 a.m. each date.

Participants are reminded to ride single file in the right lane and to wear reflective clothing with blinking lights for safety. Food, beverages, and merchandise will be available at the summit of Pikes Peak starting at 8:30 a.m., and restrooms are conveniently located along the route for all riders.

"We are excited to offer this special opportunity for cyclists to enjoy Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain in a safe and serene setting," said Skyler Rorabaugh, Manager of Pikes Peak. "We encourage everyone to take advantage of this unique event, whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just looking for a fun way to explore the mountain and enjoy the stunning views and fresh mountain air.”

To accommodate cyclists, Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain is partnering with North Pole Santa's Workshop to provide overflow parking in their northwest lot in case the parking stalls near the gateway reach capacity. Parking attendants will be on-site starting at 6 a.m. to assist participants.

Reservations are required and can be made at Drivepikespeak.com for a fee of $20 per person.
