Colorado Springs Airport (COS) reported 202,012 total passengers in December 2025, a 2.3% decrease compared to December 2024, according to the latest monthly traffic report. In 2025, 2,448,001 total passengers traveled through COS in 2025, down 1.0% from 2024.
Notable airport updates:
- Art at COS: “Window Seat: Views from the Stratosphere” – inaugural gallery reception held Jan. 29 from 4–6 p.m.
- Colorado Craft: Now open on the concourse near gates seven and eight, serving local libations and food.
- Dual-Side Fireplace: Our new modern fireplace creates a warm, stylish retreat at the north end of the concourse seating area near gates nine and ten.
- Southwest Airlines: Tickets to Cancun (CUN) are on sale for March 7, 14, 21, and 28, and April 4, 2026.
- Southwest Airlines: Daily service to Houston (HOU) begins March 5, 2026.
- Concourse Construction: Post TSA checkpoint entry and exit ramp improvements underway; completion anticipated early summer 2026.
- ElevateCOS Modernization:
- Terrazzo flooring throughout concourse complete.
- Renovations complete for gate one & three holdrooms.
- Meet & Greet area renovations progressing with anticipated launch of an advanced technology “Exit Lane Breach Control” system in late February 2026.
- TSA checkpoint entry and exit ramp improvements progressing with anticipated completion in early summer 2026.

- Five daily flights to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) with extensive U.S. and international connections.
- Daily service to Chicago O’Hare (ORD)
Delta Air Lines: Atlanta (ATL), Salt Lake City (SLC) and Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP)
- Twice-daily service to Atlanta (ATL), except Saturdays.
- Twice-daily service to Salt Lake City (SLC).
- Seasonal daily service to Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) returns June 7–Sept. 30, 2026.
Southwest Airlines: Chicago (MDW), Dallas (DAL), Denver (DEN), Houston (HOU), Las Vegas (LAS), Phoenix (PHX), San Diego (SAN), San Antonio (SAT), and Cancun, Mexico (CUN)
- Weekly seasonal service to Cancun, Mexico (CUN) was operational in December and January. It is scheduled to return for March 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2026; and April 4, 2026.
- Service to Houston (HOU) will increase to daily effective March 5, 2026.
- Up to three daily Denver (DEN) flights with easy connections coast-to-coast.
United Airlines: Denver (DEN), Houston (IAH), and Chicago (ORD)
- Three daily destinations with easy connections coast-to-coast and worldwide.
- 12 daily flights to Denver (DEN).
