Colorado Springs Airport (COS) reported several areas of growth in January 2026. The airport’s overall load factor rose 3.5 points to 71.1 percent, reflecting stronger passenger demand. Delta Airlines reported a 27 percent increase in enplanements and a 26 percent rise in seats compared with last year, supported by increased frequencies to Atlanta and Salt Lake City. These gains mark a strong start to the year for COS and the Pikes Peak region it serves.

COS received the 2025 Colorado Asphalt Pavement Association “Best in Colorado” award in the airport category for its realignment of Taxiway Alpha (A4–A7). The project included pavement strengthening and airfield drainage improvements to meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) design criteria.
