Colorado Springs Airport reported steady travel demand in February 2026, with airlines posting strong load factors and several carriers showing year-over-year gains. Allegiant Air recorded the largest increase, with its load factor up 17.8 percentage points, driven largely by its St. Petersburg route. Airportwide, the load factor rose 3.7 percentage points compared with February 2025. Colorado Springs Airport continues to focus on long-term growth through expanded air service and ongoing airline partnerships to enhance travel options for the Pikes Peak region.

Notable Updates

  • Art at COS, in partnership with Cottonwood Center for the Arts, is accepting entries for the April exhibition “Inflight Dining – In Consideration of the Airline Meal.” Submissions are due to Cottonwood by April 3, 2026.
  • The Colorado Craft seating area on the concourse is now open for travelers.
  • The airport will celebrate the openings of Colorado Craft and Hudson Evolve on April 7, 2026, with “Flights & Bites,” an event showcasing local flavors and expanded amenities for passengers.
     

Elevate COS Concourse Modernization – February Progress

TSA checkpoint entry and exit ramps have permanently reopened. The installation of new ramp railing has an expected completion of early summer 2026. The ramp work will end the final phase of the concourse modernization project.
