The City of Colorado Springs invites residents to attend upcoming open house meetings for the Templeton Gap Levee Project to learn about project plans, ask questions, and provide feedback.

The open houses will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, and Tuesday, April 28, at the Colorado Springs Senior Center, 1514 N. Hancock Ave. Residents may attend either open house, as both dates will share the same information.

The Templeton Gap Levee Project is designed to improve flood protection along Templeton Gap Floodway and address current Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requirements. The project aims to reduce flood risk to nearby homes, businesses, and infrastructure while improving long-term drainage and system reliability in the area. City staff and project team members will be available to share information about the project, including its purpose, anticipated timeline, and how it will improve flood protection and infrastructure in the area.
