COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Residents will have the opportunity to celebrate Earth Day every day at the 3rd annual Sustain-A-Fest, a community celebration to learn about sustainable practices through demonstrations and activities.
WHERE: Acacia Park (115 E Platte Ave)
“The significance of Sustain-A-Fest is to educate our community about broad sustainability efforts and to showcase local, sustainably focused non-profits and organizations doing great work in our community,” said Ryan Trujillo, manager of the Office of Innovation and Sustainability.
The festival will feature live music, local food trucks and family-friendly activities, including: a bounce house, blow up obstacle course, mobile zoo, face painting and CaveSim.
Each year, Sustain-a-fest has expanded in an effort to provide the community with the best sustainable practices available, all while enjoying local music and food. This year, the festival has moved to Acacia Park, allowing the event to include over 40 vendors and exhibitions.
Sustain-A-Fest is hosted by the City of Colorado Springs’ Office of Innovation and Sustainability. The office collaborates with City departments and the community to improve organizational processes, implement creative solutions to overcome organizational obstacles and ensure a sustainable and resilient future for Colorado Springs. The office manages citywide operations, including facilities, fleet and office services and provides transparency and insight to the public and City leaders.
