Prairie Dog Day: Bluestem Prairie Open Space

Did the groundhog- uh, prairie dog see his shadow? What does that even mean? Dig into this fun tradition while exploring one of the city’s lesser-known properties, Bluestem Prairie Open Space! Explore the open space with a 2-mile guided outing and discover how prairie dogs are essential to the survival of many other prairie-dwelling creatures. Along the way, keep your eyes open for birds and other wildlife!

Binoculars will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own. Dress appropriately for cold and windy weather. Dogs are not permitted on this property.
