COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – As construction continues on the new Pikes Peak Summit Complex, which is on schedule to open in the summer of 2021, more than 80% of the project’s $15 million fundraising goal has been met. Beginning Dec. 1, Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain is participating in Giving Tuesday to raise awareness of the chance to leave a lasting legacy by donating to the campaign.

“Community support is crucial to make the vision for this one-of-a-kind attraction a reality,” said Jack Glavan, Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain manager. “Generous donors have contributed more than $12.3 million, and, now, you can help us cross the much-anticipated finish line and, in doing so, become part of Pikes Peak forever. If you’re looking for a unique gift this holiday season, check out our Giving Tuesday page, and give your family and friends something priceless by supporting the new Pikes Peak Summit Complex.”

One of the ways to give is by sponsoring a plank, which are $500 each. By sponsoring a piece of Pikes Peak, donors can celebrate a loved one, honor a special memory made on the mountain, or simply show support for preserving Colorado’s natural treasures. Sponsor names will be forever recognized on the planks that make up the brand-new Summit Complex, helping to realize a bold vision that will preserve the majesty of the mountain, support the regional economy, and create a world-class destination for all who reach the peak.

Gifts will be used to help the Summit Complex reach “Living Building Challenge” certification, the world's most progressive environmental performance standard. Living buildings safeguard the environment, preserve the surrounding habitat, and contribute to human health.

Additional ways to get involved and give to the Summit Complex are available at ColoradoSprings.gov/SummitGiving. Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain is an enterprise of the City of Colorado Springs that generates revenue through toll fees and concession sales.
