Pikes Peak - America's Mountain is open year round - weather permitting. Conditions change frequently, it is recommended to call our pre-recorded information line. The staff updates the info approximately 15 minutes prior to opening and then as conditions change throughout the day. Call 719-385-7325 and select option 1 for current road conditions.

PIKES PEAK 5 TRIP PASS:

  • Cost: $150.00
  • 5 punches per card
  • One punch per visit with up to 5 people, additional fees apply for more passengers
  • This pass may be shared with friends and/or relatives
  • Pass expires one year from the date of purchase
  • Savings: Up to 40%

PIKES PEAK ‘14er PASS:

  • Cost: $115.00
  • 14 punches per card
  • One punch per adult, 1 - 2 children equals one punch
  • This pass may be shared with friends and/or relatives
  • Pass expires one year from the date of purchase
  • Savings: Up to 45%

PIKES PEAK PREMIER INDIVIDUAL PASS:

  • Cost: $115.00
  • Unlimited access for the pass holder ONLY, ID is required upon entry
  • This pass may NOT be shared with friends and/or relatives
  • A discount of $5 per year up to 3 years will be given for renewed passes in consecutive years Maximum discount $15. Promotion valid with a current year pass purchase. Must have purchased a Premier Individual Pass the preceding year to receive discount.
  • Pass expires December 31

PIKES PEAK PREMIER VEHICLE PASS:

  • Cost $225.00
  • Unlimited access for one vehicle
  • Valid up to 5 passengers, additional fees apply for more passengers.
  • Vehicle registration required for purchase. A second vehicle pass may be purchased for $10. Registration address must be the same as the first vehicle. Only one additional vehicle pass can be purchased. Only one vehicle may enter per day.
  • A discount of $5 per year up to 3 years will be given for renewed passes in consecutive years Maximum discount $15. Promotion valid with a current year pass purchase. Must have purchased a Premier Individual Pass the preceding year to receive discount.
  • Pass expires December 31

NORTH SLOPE RECREATION AREA PASS:

  • Cost: $100.00
  • 30 punches per card
  • One punch per each adult 16 years and older
  • Card does not permit travel above the Catamount Reservoirs
  • Pass may be shared with friends and/or relatives
  • Valid for the North Slope Recreation Season - to May 1st through 3rd Sunday in Oct
  • Savings: Up to 33%

Group Rates

Pikes Peak - America's Mountain offers discounted rates to large groups, official military and educational/scout discounted rates. All of these discounted rates require PRE-APPROVAL. All discount rate requests are subject to the review and approval of the Pikes Peak Manager or Designee.  Submit your written request a minimum of 10-days prior to your visit.   

These discounts cannot be used with any other discount and cannot be used for special events including the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Education and Scout rate requests must be part of the official school curriculum or troop activity. Home School requests will be considered as part of a homeschool network activity, individual family requests will not be considered. Requests for education or scout discounts that are not approved official activities will not be considered or approved. All discount rate requests are subject to the review and approval of the Pikes Peak Manager or Designee.

May 1 – North Slope Recreation Area Opens:

ATTENTION FISHERMAN AND OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS - Crystal Reservoir, North Catamount and South Catamount Lakes open for fishing and the North Slope Recreation Area opens for the season. May 12 – Mother’s Day Discount:

Happy Mother's Day! Bring Mom for a day on Pikes Peak - America's Mountain. Mom will get in free of charge with a paid admission. Thank Mom for all that she does!

June 8-9– PPIHC Tire Testing:

Pikes Peak - America's Mountain will be holding all uphill traffic to the summit until 8:30am for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Practice Days, June 8th - June 9th and June 14th-16th. There will still be access to the Catamount Reservoirs. We will open to the summit for normal tourist operations at 8:30am. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patronage. June 25-28 – PPIHC Race Week:

Pikes Peak - America's Mountain will be holding all uphill traffic to the summit until 9 a.m. for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Practice Days, June 25 - June 28.  There will still be access to the Catamount Reservoirs. We will open to the summit for normal tourist operations at 9 a.m. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patronage. For additional information visit www.ppihc.com. In addition, there will be an early closure on Thursday, June 27 due to construction deliveries. Uphill gates will close at 5 p.m. The Pikes Peak summit closes at 6 p.m. Downhill gates close at 7 p.m.

June 30th – Pikes Peak International Hill Climb:

The Race to the Clouds will be run on the 12.42 mile course with 156 turns that begins at 9,390 feet and finishes at the 14,115 foot summit of Pikes Peak - America's Mountain! For more information regarding the race please visit www.ppihc.com.

IMPORTANT: Pikes Peak - America's Mountain is closed to tourists on the day of the race.

August 10 –Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb:

The Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb, presented by The Broadmoor and the Anschutz Foundation, is a challenge cycling event for all comers! It includes a USA Cycling sanctioned bicycle race and an open Fun ride that ascends to the summit of Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain. The Pikes Peak Highway will delay opening to the Summit until 9am. The North Slope Recreation Area will open at 7:30am. August 24-25 – Pikes Peak Ascent and Marathon:

The 64th running of the Pikes Peak Ascent and Pikes Peak Marathon will once again redefine what most call running in America's Ultimate Challenge. For additional information visit www.pikespeakmarathon.org.

NOTE: There will be a delayed opening to the summit on Aug. 24. Summit traffic will be held until 12:30 p.m. The highway will open to the North Slope Recreation Area at 7:30 a.m., as normal, but traffic will not be allowed past that area until 12:30 p.m. When the gates open, visitors should anticipate congestion and longer wait times for the shuttle and in the parking areas.

September 7 – Pikes Peak Challenge:

The Pikes Peak Challenge is a unique fundraising event that encourages registered participants to experience the excitement and success of hiking to the summit of Pikes Peak. Survivors of brain injury, family members and community supporters start their ascent up this magnificent 14,115-foot mountain at the base of Barr Trail in Manitou Springs. October 20 – North Slope Recreation Area Closes:

November 11 – Veterans Day Discount:

Pikes Peak - America's Mountain is pleased to offer free admission for all that have served including retired and active duty military with ID. We thank you for your service to our country.

December 31 – AdAmAn Fireworks Display:

The Pikes Peak AdAmAn Club has been a tradition since 1922. The unique group of mountaineers, who each year on December 30th and 31st, climb the icy slopes of the world famous Pikes Peak - America's Mountain and at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve ignite a glorious fireworks display from the summit to usher in the New Year.
