Celebrating Unique Places: PlanCOS kicked off its first year following approval of the Colorado Springs Comprehensive Plan update by Celebrating Unique Places. This celebration was co-hosted by PlanCOS and the Council of Neighborhoods and Organizations (CONO). The event was held July 18, 2019 at Lincoln Center. It included libations at Goat Patch Brewery, bicycle rides courtesy of PikeRide, fire truck tours, pop-up workouts by Penrose-St. Francis Health Services, and a panel discussion with residents from different parts of the city discussing how their neighborhoods provide a sense of community.iframe content

Take the Colorado Springs Affordable Housing Survey. Input from this survey will be used to help shape and focus the development of our Attainable HousingAttainable housing means decent, attractive, safe, and sanitary accommodation that is affordable for the full spectrum of the city's residents. While a cost of no more than 30% of gross household income is a good rule of thumb for affordability, there will be some circumstances where higher or lower thresholds may be more applicable. Plan which is one of the key initiatives recommended in PlanCOS. This survey closes on June 16, 2019. After that look for the results on the Community Development page.
