The El Paso County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased female who was found with an apparent traumatic injury on November 6, 2018, in a field off trail in the 3700 block of Astrozon Boulevard. The victim was identified as Jacquiline Eva Wilde, 24 years of age and a resident of Colorado Springs.
The Colorado Springs Police Department takes every effort to notify victim’s families prior to making official/public notification of a victim’s identity. Additionally, the Coroner’s Office requires certain steps be taken before an “official ID” is made and authorized for release.
The Colorado Springs Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in this investigation. Ms. Wilde’s death is an ongoing investigation.
On November 6, 2018, at approximately 3:12 PM, officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the 3700 block of Astrozon Boulevard on a reported found body. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female in a field, off trail with an apparent traumatic injury. The Colorado Springs Fire Department arrived and confirmed the on-scene death.
The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Violent Crimes Section responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for this investigation. This death is being investigated as a homicide and continues to be an active investigation. Follow Twitter for updates, as appropriate.
