Homicide Investigation - 115 Metzler Place

On November 2, 2018, at 8:34 AM, officers responded to the creek area behind 115 Metzler Place on a report of a man down. On arrival, officers located a deceased male, who has been identified by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office as Luis Molina, aka “Lucky,” 34 years of age and a resident of Colorado Springs. The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Homicide/Major Assault Unit is seeking assistance in the investigation and is requesting information from anyone who may know anything about the circumstances of this death. 

Mr. Molina’s death is the 29th homicide investigated by the Colorado Springs Police Department in 2018. The City of Colorado Springs investigated 27 homicides at this time last year. This continues to be an active investigation.

The originally reported address, the 1700 block of Mt Washington Avenue, has been updated and identified as being the creek bed near 115 Metzler Place.
