Operation Gratitude is an organization based in Chatsworth, California, that sends hundreds of thousands of care packages every year to deployed Troops, First Responders, Veterans, Recruit Graduates, wounded heroes and their caregivers, and military families. Their CEO (and 20-year Marine Corps Veteran) Kevin Schmiegel and other team members will be visiting the Colorado Springs Police Department on Wednesday, March 20th, at 1:00pm in the POC Community Room to honor CSPD heroes who keep our community safe. A representative from each division will be present to accept care pouches for their division. The press is invited.

Operation Gratitude has delivered more than 2.1 million care packages filled with items donated by grateful Americans and service-friendly companies that want to express their support for heroes serving overseas and here at home. This program was created to bridge the civilian-service divide and for corporations and individuals to come together honoring local heroes who keep our communities safe.

Assembled in red Operation Gratitude care pouches specifically designed to fit in a police car or locker, these care packages contain a variety of high quality items for First Responders who are always on the go: energy shots, protein bars, cleaning wipes, lip balm, sunscreen, sweet treats, handmade quick-deploy paracord bracelets, and more.
