Update Homicide Investigation 6600 block of Palace Dr

Update:

On March 5 and 6, 2020, the El Paso County Coroner’s Office completed the autopsies of the deceased adult females from the homicide investigation initiated on Thursday, March 5, 2020. The victim located inside of the residence in the 6600 Block of Palace Drive has been identified as 29-year-old Annjolynne Page Scott of Colorado Springs.  The victim who later died at the hospital has been identified as 59-year-old Tamara Dunn of Colorado Springs. Ms. Dunn is the mother of Ms. Scott.

On Monday, March 9, 2020, the adult male who was previously admitted into a local hospital was released.  The male was identified as 28-year-old Timothy Ray Scott, Jr. of Colorado Springs.  Homicide/Assault Unit detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest for two counts of Murder in the first degree as a result of this investigation.  Scott was transported from the hospital and booked into the El Paso County Jail where he remains in custody.  Timothy Scott Jr. was married to Annjolynne Scott who is one of the two victims in this case. This continues to be an active investigation.

Ms. Scott’s and Ms. Dunn’s deaths will be the 10th and the 11th homicide investigation in the City of Colorado Springs in 2020.  The Colorado Springs Police Department investigated two homicides at this time last year.

On March 5, 2020, the Colorado Springs Police Department was notified that the female victim who was transported to the hospital from the disturbance in the 6600 Block of Palace Drive succumbed to her injuries. One male is still hospitalized with serious injuries. The identities of the deceased victims will be released after they have been positively identified by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office. The Coroner’s Office will make the official cause and manner of death determination for each victim. These deaths are being investigated as homicides and this continues to be an active investigation.

Original Release

On March 5, 2020, at approximately 2:14 A.M., the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) Communications Center received reports of a domestic disturbance inside a residence in the 6600 Block of Palace Drive. CSPD officers responded to the residence where they located one deceased adult female. Officers also located one adult male and a second adult female suffering from serious injuries. The injured male and female were transported to the hospital in serious condition.

Detectives from CSPD’s Violent Crimes Section responded and assumed responsibility for the investigation. While the Coroner’s Office will make the official cause and manner of death determination, this death is being investigated as a homicide and continues to be an active investigation.
