Community Advancing Public Safety (CAPS) Volunteer Ambassadors are gearing up for the 2019 Holiday Season! Starting Black Friday, CAPS Volunteer Ambassadors will be available to assist citizens and police officers in downtown Colorado Springs and Old Colorado City.

From November 29, 2019, through December 22, 2019, CAPS Ambassadors will be out walking the streets to help citizens, meet merchants, and identify safety and logistical issues in order to keep the areas inviting and vibrant.

Easily spotted in their red fleece vests, please look for CAPS Ambassadors Saturdays and Sundays in the downtown area; and Fridays and Saturdays in Old Colorado City from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Since 2011, the Public Safety Ambassador Program has been a unified collaboration with the Colorado Springs Police Department’s Gold Hill Division, the Colorado Springs Fire Department, and the business associations and merchants in downtown Colorado Springs and Old Colorado City. Many reap the benefits of the resources the Ambassadors are able to offer, and officers appreciate having the extra sets of eyes and ears on the streets, too!

For more information about the Ambassador Program, please contact Stephanie Evitts at 719-444-7441.
