COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo - A seven-month construction project to widen a bottlenecked stretch of Dublin Boulevard was completed last week, on time and on budget.
The $2 million construction project widened Dublin Boulevard between Powers Boulevard and Oakwood Boulevard/Bridle Pass Drive into two lanes in each direction, with a center turn lane. This stretch of Dublin Boulevard was on the A list of voter-approved PPRTA2 projects.
“The project fills a key gap in Dublin Road’s lane alignment and will significantly improve traffic flow and safety in the area,” said Mike Chaves, City Engineering Manager.
The project required a 5-day full closure of Dublin Boulevard west of Powers, from Templeton Gap Road to Oakwood Boulevard in spring for installation of two concrete storm sewers crossing under Dublin Boulevard west of Templeton Gap Road.
