People who live or work near Printers Parkway are encouraged to view plans on a roundabout to be built later this year at the intersection of Printers Parkway and Parkside Drive.
This intersection consistently ranks among one of the highest accident rates in the city. Due to the wide median and right-of-way footprint of the intersection, City Engineering staff believe the best solution is a roundabout, to be built in late 2019, and funded primarily through a federal hazard elimination grant. The open house will be an opportunity for neighbors to see the proposed intersection and look at construction plans. Engineers from the project team and the City of Colorado Springs will be on-hand to answer questions and to solicit information about local traffic patterns that may be valuable in developing construction detours and phasing plans. Short presentations about the project are scheduled at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.
Construction is expected to begin in late summer. For information about the project, visit coloradosprings.gov/PrintersPkwyImprovements
