1. On 04/14/2022, Title II ADA / Section 504 Coordinator(s) from the Office of Accessibility performed a Title II - Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Evaluation. This evaluation was performed in accordance with 1991/2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design.
2. Priorities for removing barriers are assigned in accordance with the ADA Checklist for Existing Facilities, promulgated by the ADA National Network. The checklist follows the four priorities listed in the Department of Justice ADA Title III regulations. These priorities are equally applicable to state and local government facilities:
Priority 1 - Accessible approach and entrance
Priority 2 - Access to goods and services
Priority 3 - Access to public toilet rooms
Priority 4 - Access to other items such as water fountains and public telephones
3. Corrective actions to findings were / will be submitted to the City maintenance work request system and will be managed in accordance with the City Transition Plan. Note: Recommended corrections may be modified where appropriate. Corrections are developed in consideration of the “Program Access” provisions of Title II, where applicable.

Along the sidewalk that runs along Meadow Ridge Dr. from the turn into the park behind the baseball backstop west to the turn at the triangular junction in the northwest corner of the park, there are 30 pads of concrete with a high cross slope measuring between 2.3% and 3.8% (7 pads are at or over 3%). Included is a culvert with a steel diamond plate cover. The concrete on either side of the culvert has a high cross slope as well as the cover. The cross slope of the steel cover is 4.7.

On this section of the path through the park, which runs from the triangular junction in the northwest corner of the park all the way to the turn to the pavilion, there is a break in the concrete measuring 15" long by 5" wide by 1.5" deep. This is located just east of the stairs leading into residential property in the far south end of the park.

The accessible route on the site has running slopes greater than 5 percent and has not been constructed as a ramp (i.e. handrails, edge protection, etc.).

Recommendation:
Do nothing at this time. It is not feasible to achieve a compliant running slope due to the existing terrain. Add an accessible route to the basketball court from the north side (see finding in Play Areas). If this is not feasible we should explore creating a ramp with provisions as this also serves as the school access point to the play area and pavilion.
