Thanks to voter approval allowing the City to retain $6 million in excess revenues over the TABOR cap for 2016 to be used for stormwater projects, neighbors near Airport and Chelton will see some welcome relief from localized flooding that has been impacting this neighborhood.

Our Water Resources Engineering Division installed a large inlet on the east side of Chelton Road to carry surface stormwater flows below ground into a large stormwater pipeline that runs beneath Chelton.

A special thanks to local neighbors who provided photos/videos to help identify the exact cause and location of flooding and determine the best solution to stop surface flows from flooding yards of the area residents.
