How can my out-of-town alarm company contact Fire Department dispatch?
They must call the Out of State/City dispatch center at 719-444-7632.
Does the fire department provide CPR and First Aid classes?
The Colorado Springs Fire Department does not offer certification classes in CPR or First Aid. Contact the Pikes Peak Chapter of the American Red Cross to see if they can assist you.

Do you install car seats for children?
Colorado Springs Fire Department does not provide car seat installation services. However, Colorado Department of Transportation’s Car Seats Colorado program may be helpful.
Who can help me with my CO alarm?
The Colorado Springs Fire Department will replace single-unit smoke alarm batteries for senior and low-income individuals, Contact the Fire Department Front Desk at 719-385-5950.
If the CO Alarms are going off and showing a CO reading/warning, have everyone leave the building and call 911. Some obvious signs of carbon monoxide poisoning are dizziness/lightheadedness, sleepiness/fatigue, and/or headaches.
Where can I get my fire extinguisher recharged?
Contact a private company for purchasing, inspecting, and recharging a fire extinguisher.
How do I dispose of my hazardous household waste materials?
If it is an emergency, call 911. If it is not an emergency, contact the El Paso County Household Chemical Waste Collection Facility at 520-7878 to schedule a drop-off time.
