During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) implemented various safety measures to protect both passengers and drivers. These precautions included:

  • Providing masks, hand sanitizer, and gloves to passengers and drivers.
  • Limiting bus capacities to 50% with seats spaced 6 feet apart.
  • Installing protective barriers for drivers.
  • Vehicles disinfected daily.
  • Adding air purification systems to most large buses that can limit 98% of viruses.
  • Placed air purification systems at the Transit Administration Building where Customer Service is located.
  • Implementing an online program for passengers to check real-time bus capacity levels on My Next Bus. (Shown below.)
