The City of Colorado Springs will replace the 31st Street Pedestrian Bridge over Camp Creek. Work is anticipated to start late 2025 and is expected to take several months. Traffic impacts will be minor and posted to this page once determined.

A new railing will be installed on the current bridge. Portions of the current bridge will be cordoned off for safety, but the current bridge will remain usable until the new bridge is constructed.

The current bridge was hit by a vehicle in April 2024 and is not ADA-compliant. The new bridge will be wider, located slightly north of the current bridge, and will feature ADA compliant ramps on either side connecting to ADA-compliant receiver ramps across the street on both sides. Once the new bridge is constructed, the current bridge will be removed.

The replacement and removal are funded by the City of Colorado Springs Bridge Maintenance Fund.
