Yemi Mobolade will take the oath of office and become Colorado Springs’ 42nd mayor on Tuesday, June 6 at 10 a.m. on the south side of the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum, 215 S. Tejon Street.

The event is free and open to the public and will be broadcast live on the City’s Facebook page @CityofCOS. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will move to the City Auditorium, 221 E. Kiowa Street.

Vermijo Street between Tejon Street and Nevada Avenue will be closed from 8-11 a.m. on June 6 for the event. The public is advised to use alternate routes.  Street parking in the immediate area will be limited.  Use our online Parking Finder tool to find garage parking, handicapped-meter parking, and other forms of parking in Downtown Colorado Springs.

Seating may be limited with some accessible seating available. An ASL Interpreter will be located on the right side of the stage when facing the podium. A small number of accessible parking spaces are available on Vermijo Street and can be accessed by showing your placard to the attendants on Vermijo between Nevada Ave. and Tejon St.
