Bio

Michelle Talarico is Co-Owner and Director of Sales for Picnic Basket Catering, Cravings Five Star Events and Buffalo Gals Grilling Company. She has been a leader in the Colorado Springs community for over 30 years. Being a Colorado College Alum helped build a passion for community & service. She has served on many non-profit boards including Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Children’s’ Literacy Center, Greenberg Center for Learning and Tolerance, The Colorado Springs Wine Festival, Colorado Springs Leadership Institute, Colorado Caterers Association, The International Caterers Association, Colorado Springs Diversity forum, and Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care, Care and Share.

Michelle is a 2002 graduate of the CSLI program at The Center for Creative Leadership in Colorado Springs, Care and Share, NAMI and The Colorado Event Alliance. She was the chair of several successful fundraising events, JDRF Promise Ball, Children’s Literacy Center Vintners dinner, Colorado Springs Wine Festival Grand Tasting. Michelle supports the following on a yearly basis; Pikes Peak Hospice, Tessa, Casa, Grace Fund; Family Affair, PP Habitat for Humanity. Cs Symphony, MDA, Kid Power, Homeward Pikes Peak, Energy Resource Center, Inside Out Youth Services, Goodwill, Urban Peak, Colorado Springs Conservatory, Young life, Community Partnership for Child Development, PP United Way, Junior Achievement, American Red Cross, Kid Power, Care and Share, along with many others throughout the years. Most recently the board chair for the Colorado Springs leadership Institute. Michelle was the humble recipient of the 2021 Athena Award presented by CSCEDC. In September Michelle was awarded the Smith Tutt Positive Impact Award from The Colorado Springs Leadership Institute. Michelle and her partner Kathy have been making a direct social Impact to the Pikes Peak Region for the past 30 plus years.

Her companies have been constant winner in the Gold Best Catering Category for thirty plus years in the Independent, The Gazette, The Business Journal &Colorado Meetings and Events. Her companies employ one hundred full and part time employees in Colorado Springs and beyond.

Michelle has one son, Sam Talarico, who is a 2021 graduate from The University of Colorado/Boulder and the light of her life. Sam and his wife Lily have a son named Landon who adds even more illumination to a beautiful journey.
