
The Broadmoor Golf Club, on the west side of Colorado Springs, is hosting the 2025 United States Senior Open June 23-29. The Pikes Peak region will play host to the national championship for top men’s golfers worldwide age 50 years and older. The event is broadcast across the country and the world via NBC and the Golf Channel. Nearly 25,000 spectators per day and 1,700 volunteers from across the country will be on site during the championship.

Road Closures
All road closures will be effective Monday, June 23 through Sunday, June 29, 6 a.m.-8 p.m. The following roads will be closed:
- El Pomar Road between Penrose Boulevard and Mesa Avenue
- Mirada Road between the Pourtales Road changeover to W. Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard
- 1st Street between Lake Avenue and Broadmoor Avenue
- 2nd Street between Lake Avenue and Broadmoor Avenue
- 2nd Street between Lake Avenue and Elm Avenue
- 3rd Street between Lave Avenue and Elm Avenue
- 4th Street between Lake Avenue and Elm Avenue
- Berthe Circle between Lave Avenue and Elm Avenue
- Berthe Circle starting at Lake Avenue and continuing onto Broadmoor Avenue
- Briarwood Place between Lake Avenue and Broadmoor Avenue
- Tanglewood Drive between Lave Avenue and Broadmoor Avenue
- Hutton Lane between Lake Avenue and Broadmoor Avenue
The following road closure will be effective from Saturday, June 21 through Sunday, June 29:
- Pourtales Road between Beech Avenue and changeover to Mirada Road

Parking Plan
- Majority of U.S. Senior Open parking areas are located off site
- Spectators will be transported to and from the lots by bus
- Broadmoor World Arena will serve as the main shuttle location
- The intent for these parking decisions is to minimize impact to residents and to maximize safety for all
- Responsive public safety staff will help to ensure above
- Volunteers will park at Cheyenne Mountain High School and use a separate bus route as their shuttle location

Parking Communications
- There will be “No Event Parking” signage around the Broadmoor in addition to the parking information being communicated from the following sources:
- Championship website
- Ticket information
- Media alerts
- On the ground signage
- Police presence
- Residential parking rules apply
- City codes states residents and guests must park in driveways or on street where allowed during the event
- No parking on lawns

Evacuation Routes/Information
If a catastrophic event occurs and evacuation is required, the following routes include:
- In the event of an emergency, first responders may adjust and direct specific evacuation routes that will be managed by Colorado Springs Police Department officers staged at traffic control points.
- El Pomar Road to Mesa Avenue to Cresta Road
- West Cheyenne Mountain Blvd. to Marland Road
- Marland Road South to Marland Road

If an evacuation is required due to weather, the response route will be via Lake Avenue
