Traffic Impacts
- Construction will occur in phases to minimize travel disruptions.
- One lane in each direction of Galley Road will remain open throughout the project.
- Starting in late May (date to be determined), Wooten Road north of Galley Road will be closed in the immediate area of the intersection for several months. Detour routes will be provided.
- Access to businesses near the work zone will remain open.
About
The City of Colorado Springs is rehabilitating and extending a box culvert beneath the intersection of Wooten Road and Galley Road to address aging infrastructure and drainage issues. Improvements will also include upgraded sidewalks, curb ramps and pedestrian crossings.
