Behind the Springs: It's time to FlyCOS!
It’s that traveling time of year again and the COS Airport has some great deals. They also have great news about what’s happening at Colorado’s small airport … here’s a hint: small commutes, small waits and BIG options!

Listen Now

The fall season is getting busy at the Colorado Springs Airport. The number of people flying in and out of Colorado's small airport this fall already exceeds 2019 numbers. As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, we are expecting an even bigger increase in traffic. That means a busy airport.

The increase in traffic is attributed to the addition of Southwest Airlines’ five, nonstop markets beginning March of this year and other carriers’ growth, including using larger aircrafts. The latest route added to the COS nonstop schedule is Frontier Airlines’ nonstop service to Orlando (MCO).

Know before you go

If you are flying for the holidays, please remember:

  • Arrive at the TSA checkpoint at least 90 minutes prior to their flight departure.
  • The federal mask mandate is still in effect and has been extended to January 18, 2022. Masks are required inside all areas of the airport and on all aircraft.

Get a deal on holiday parking

COS has also launched its popular holiday parking promotion, offering $4.00 daily long-term parking from November 22, 2021, to November 29, 2021, and December 20, 2021, to January 3, 2022. Travelers can redeem the savings on long-term parking over the course of two periods of time. Passengers are advised to use a manned booth when exiting outside of the promotional periods.

Don't forget to check with your airline

All five carriers at COS value customers’ health and safety. Please visit each carrier’s website for further information about carrier specific safety protochols.
