On January 11th 2021, the City of Colorado Springs Community Development Division will start accepting applications for its special CARES Act allocation of round 2 Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG-CV2) Funds. The Division anticipates making approximately $1 million of federal funds available for eligible projects that specifically prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus and its impacts within the City of Colorado Springs. The minimum request amount is $100,000.00.
Non-profit organizations, faith based organizations, and public agencies are invited to apply, provided they meet federal eligibility requirements. In coordination with Community Health Partnership, City staff has identified projects furthering emergency shelter (safety precautions) and rapid re-housing as high priorities. ESG-CV funds will still be open to homeless service providers applying for street outreach, homelessness prevention, and designated database support (HMIS).
Applicants must register online with Neighborly in order to prepare and submit an application. For more information, please go directly to the application here or go to the Division website at www.coloradosprings.gov/community-development. Complete applications are due no later than 11:59 p.m. MST on February 5th 2021.
Please take a moment to review the pre-recorded presentation on the ESG-CV2 program requirements. CDD staff will host digital office hours to offer technical assistance and go over specific questions from applicants on the following dates:
ESG-CV2 Digital Office Hours
Phone Conference ID: 394 761 515#
Phone Conference ID: 463 610 810#
Phone Conference ID: 287 958 458#
We recommend at least one representative from each applicant organization view the first presentation and take advantage of the digital office hours to assess one’s eligibility and fully understand the requirements before an agency invests the time and resources necessary to apply. Applicants are also encouraged to review the 2021 ESG-CV2 application and information guide. Please note: We encourage applicants to attend one session of digital office hours for information and inquiries. No registration necessary.
There is no limit to the number of applications that an agency may submit, but each request for funding should be submitted as its own application. Applications selected for funding may receive less than the requested amount, depending on the number of applications received and the available funding. By applying, funding is not guaranteed to any agency or project.
