What is Creek Week?

Creek Week is September 28 – October 6, 2024

The Fountain Creek Watershed needs helping hands! It’s common for trash and debris to end up in waterways – clogging drainage systems, impacting wildlife, affecting water quality and ruining the view of our natural landscapes.

Be part of the largest watershed-wide clean-up in the state of Colorado! Creek Week volunteers clean up litter along a creek, trail, park or open space throughout the watershed. We’re inviting individuals and groups (families, clubs, schools, neighborhoods, etc.) to form a Creek Crew for the 11th Annual Creek Week Clean-Up. Get outdoors, get active, and create some good for your community and those living downstream.

Registration is OPEN to the public!

To register or for more information, please visit the Fountain Creek Week website.

Litter Letter Project

Creek Week is a 9-day, watershed-wide litter and debris collection event that takes place at the end of September and beginning of October. Service groups, neighborhood associations, scouts, schools, churches, and individuals all donate their time to help clean up the Fountain Creek Watershed. The event is also a chance to raise awareness about the watershed, our water supply, the district and the littering issue to make our communities cleaner, safer and more beautiful.
