MMT Privacy Policy

The Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) privacy policy (Policy) describes the information collection and handling associated with your RideMMT account, which includes smartphone-based and card-based mobile ticketing.

Collection and Use of Personal and Non-Personal Information

We collect aggregated (non-personal) information such as Internet domain, IP address, browser, operating system, referring/exit pages, date and time stamp, etc. from all visitors to our website for statistical purposes. Aggregated information does not include personal identifying information. The information collected is used for analysis and reporting, providing information on site trends and usage so that we can continue to enhance our site based on our customers’ needs. We may disclose anonymous, aggregated data to third parties working with MMT or include such data in public records.

When you use the RideMMT app, we also collect and use information such as:

  • Information about the ticket(s) purchased, such as the ticket ID, ticket type, date and time of purchase, and the validity period of the ticket(s);
  • Payment details, financial transaction information, the email address where receipts were sent, and information about saved credit or debit cards;
  • Ticket activation information, such as the type of ticket and the date and time of activation, end of the validity time, or expiration of the ticket; and
  • Information about your device. For example, we may collect the mobile device type the device's unique identification number (IMEI number, mobile phone number, or MAC address of the device's wireless network interface). We may also collect the mobile browser, operating system, network information, and time zone settings.

Your information may be used for the following purposes:

  • To provide you with mobile tickets and to otherwise manage the sale of mobile tickets (including providing customer support);
  • For billing and order fulfillment (including in-app purchases);
  • To prevent fraud or illegal activity (for example, to verify the identity of a purchaser of a ticket);
  • To improve our services; and
  • To comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Google Analytics

MMT uses Google Analytics, a web analytics tool that helps website owners understand how visitors engage with their website. The Google Analytics Terms of Service, which all Analytics customers must adhere to, prohibits the tracking or collection of personal information using Google Analytics or associating personal information with web analytics information. RideMMT

We take the privacy of our users very seriously. Therefore, we ask that you read this Policy carefully. It contains essential information about how your personal data will be used and shared when purchasing services through the RideMMT mobile application.
MMT partners with Masabi LLC (Masabi), specializing in mobile ticketing solutions, to sell MMT mobile ticketing products through the RideMMT app. When you use the RideMMT app or portal, you accept and agree to the collection, use, and sharing of the information collected in the manners specified by this Policy.

Translations

MMT offers translations of the content on MMT.com through Google Translate. Because Google Translate is an external website, MMT does not control the quality or accuracy of translated content nor the process by which contributed translations are incorporated into these translation tools. Consent

By using the MMT website and RideMMT app, you consent to the collection and use of information described in this privacy policy.

Account Deletion

Users may request deletion of their RideMMT account at any time by selecting the corresponding option within the user menu of the application. Please call Customer Service for assistance requesting account deletion. Please note that any unused ticket products or stored value balances may be forfeited by the account deletion process.

Policy Updates

MMT reserves the right to update this privacy policy at any time.

Disclosure to Third Parties

As a governmental agency, we are governed by open records laws. Any information that we receive through use of our site is subject to the same provisions as information provided on paper. Otherwise, we do not share personal identifying information with any third party without your permission. We disclose only in aggregate form our statistical analyses or demographics of users to third parties. In some instances, we may operate shared Web sites with other organizations. Our privacy policy will apply to these Web sites, and we require those organizations to adhere to our privacy policy. This information is not reported or used in any manner that would reveal personally identifiable information and will not be released to any outside parties unless we are legally required to do so in connection with law enforcement investigations or other legal proceedings.
