On January 19, 2024, a collaborative effort between CSPD’s Violent Offender Task Force (VOFTF), Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU), and the Metro Narcotics Unit (MNU) uncovered information about a male suspect with several active felony warrants for burglary, assault, and menacing charges.
The suspect was identified as 41-year-old Nathan Meek. MNU detectives were able to seek an active location for Meek in the City of Colorado Springs. With the assistance of VOTFT, TEU, and MNU, Meek was apprehended with a stolen firearm, fentanyl pills, methamphetamine, and US currency and placed in custody.
MNU detectives applied for and received a search warrant for Meek’s address. The result of Meek’s arrest and the search of his residence led to the seizure of 4.8 lbs. of methamphetamine, 80 grams of cocaine, $3,020.00 in US currency, 1.5 lbs. of refined marijuana, 1220 fentanyl pills, 2 handguns, and 2 shotguns.
