Ballots for the 2023 mayoral run-off election will be mailed to registered voters in Colorado Springs on Monday, April 24. City Charter dictates a run-off election between the two mayoral candidates who received the most votes on April 4. Voters will choose between Wayne Williams and Yemi Mobolade. All ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. on election day, May 16, 2023. If you do not receive a ballot or have questions about the election, contact the City Clerk’s office at 719-385-5901 or visit ColoradoSprings.gov/Election.
“I encourage voters to fill out their ballot as soon as possible and either mail your ballot or drop it off at one of our 26 convenient locations,” said City Clerk Sarah Johnson.
KEY DATES:
- April 24 - Ballots are mailed
- April 25 - Logic and accuracy test of election system (9 a.m. at City Administration Building)
- May 9 - Final day to mail your ballot
- May 16 - Election day (ballots must be returned by 7 p.m.)
- May 24 - Deadline for return of military/overseas ballots and signature cures
- May 26 - Last day to certify election results
- June 6 - New mayor takes oath of office (10 a.m. near the south steps of the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum)
Beginning April 24, residents with disabilities may cast their votes with the assistance of special equipment at the Colorado Springs City Clerk’s office, 30 S. Nevada Ave., Suite 101, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
