The City Council is currently seeking applicants for two (2) positions on the Fire Board of Appeals. Members of the Fire Board of Appeals are appointed by the City Council for terms of three (3) years, unless filling an unexpired vacancy. Responsibilities of the Fire Board of Appeals include:
- Making and adopting supplemental rules and regulations
- Granting variances to the Fire Prevention Code and determining the suitability of alternate materials and types of construction
- Reviewing all Fire Department administrative regulations and policies related to the enforcement/interpretation of the Fire Code
Meeting Time: Every 2nd Friday of each month at 8:30 a.m.
Vacancies:
- One (1) representative from a building contractor A, B, or C
- One (1) representative in the fire insurance field (fire and casualty)
